Hiring salary range: $2,136.59 - $3,301.53 / bi-weekly

You will be a member of the group, which is responsible for:

  • Managing the engineering deliverables for the design of new and refurbished power substations and power transmission lines.

  • Track, monitor and report design progress, analyse key performance indicators of the Engineering Services Division.

Your job duties may include:

  • Assisting Project Engineers to co-ordinate different design disciplines to produce design for replacing/upgrading power equipment and their protection and control systems in power stations

  • Monitor and track progress of design to make sure projects are designed within the given budget and meeting project schedules.

This job will provide you with the following professional development:

  • General knowledge of designing a power substation and power transmission lines

  • Project management (planning, scheduling, control and reporting)

  • Project performance analysis

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Negotiation skills

Job Requirements:

  • Discipline: Engineering (Electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, industrial etc)

  • Academic Level: Completed at least year 3

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Access and MS Project. Able to set up macros in these desktop applications, and perform scenario analysis using Excel

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities 

Additional Job Conditions:

  • Occasional travel to Hydro One power substations under supervision of Hydro One qualified staff

  • Ontario Driver's License
