Overview
The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work independently. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are critical. The candidate will perform a variety of Engineering work including but not limited to initial planning, design phases, and construction support of substation projects. Ability to perform the structural engineering aspect of substation projects with oversight. Performs other duties as required.
Responsibilities
• Perform structural calculations for steel and reinforced concrete structures and foundations at the direction of a lead engineer.
• Support and interface with the design and drafting group
• Utilize relevant software for the design of substation structures and foundations
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, drawing packages and other deliverables associated with design projects
• Provide detailed engineering input to all design phases, including interpretation and challenge standards
• Provide practical engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases of projects
• Project safety, demonstrating safety is a priority via safety leadership, adherence to TRC and client safety policies and standards.
• Coordination with allied disciplines in preparation and development of deliverables.
• Takes responsibility for study, design, specification and services related to the engineering discipline
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar/related field, from an accredited school or University is required.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 0 - 2 years' experience predominantly in the Power delivery sector
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, or Other Requirements:
Registered as EIT, PREFERRED, taken and successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam is strongly desired.
Program Experience:
L-Pile, RISA 3-D, RISA Foundation, Matt 3-D, SAP2000, STAAD, MathCad, AutoCad, Office Suite

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
