Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform engineering and design assignments using basic structural engineering principles and fundamental theories learned in a bachelor's program.

  • Work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams to completebridge design tasks and plan development for transportation projects.

  • Prepare or assist in preparing: Basic engineering calculations and analyses, Material quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, Field surveys and design layouts

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts.

  • Under guidance of a more senior engineer: Review supplier drawing submittals for technical compliance, Support technical bid evaluations and analyses

  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of: Specifications, Data sheets, other construction and engineering documents

  • Provide technical input, markups, and coordination guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters working on the same project.

  • Support project documentation, engineering records, and quality processes as required.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related discipline).

  • Typically 0+ years of related civil/structural or general engineering experience (internships or co-ops a plus).

  • Basic knowledge of engineering concepts in civil/structural or related fields.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools and common PC software packages used in engineering (e.g., AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit, MS Office).

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • EIT/FE certification in progress or completed (or ability to obtain).
