  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
  • Weekly Hours: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
  • Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Recent experience caring for neurology and stroke patients in an acute care setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, and float as needed
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
  • Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Provide care for neurology and stroke patients with a strong focus on safety and clinical accuracy
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and support common med-surg and telemetry interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient progress and discharge planning
  • Document care accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication with the care team
  • Adapt to a dynamic unit environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care
