EKG Stress Test Specialist

Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a respected practice as an EKG Stress Test Specialist. Affluent applicant must reflect professionalism in the office and in all aspects of communication. Must be able to balance the appropriate tasks while maintaining excellent patient and staff relations. Must be experienced in performing and interpreting Electrocardiograms (EKG's), placing Holter monitors.

Essential Job Functions
  • Inform and educate patients on EKG, Treadmill and other nuclear procedures; prepare patients for procedures and supervise nuclear stress procedures.
  • Attach electrodes to patients, connect electrodes to leads from EKG machine, and operate EKG machine to obtain reading.
  • Observe, monitor and record patients' vital signs and health status.
  • Obtain Prior Authorization from health insurance company prior to procedure being performed.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and confirms patient exams and procedures within the department for referring physicians.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work therein.
Qualifications

• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to be on feet for significant portions of the day helping assisting patients. • ACLS certification required within one year of hire. • IV experience preferred. • Must be EKG certified.

Hours: 7am-5pm 4 days a week, or 8am-4pm 5 days a week. No holidays, weekends or evenings.
