What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Street Delivery position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Street Delivery worker, you need a strong sense of direction, punctuality, and basic literacy skills, often supported by a valid driver’s license or ability to navigate urban environments. Familiarity with GPS devices, mobile delivery apps, and handheld scanners is typically required. Reliability, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle physical demands set top performers apart. These skills ensure that packages, newspapers, or food orders are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.

What is the highest paying delivery job?

The highest paying delivery jobs often include specialized roles such as medical or pharmaceutical delivery drivers, who require additional certifications and handle sensitive items. Additionally, drivers for luxury or high-value goods, or those working for premium courier services, tend to earn higher wages due to the specialized nature of their deliveries and the skills required.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

In the context of street delivery or similar roles, earning $1,000,000 annually is extremely rare and typically limited to high-level executives, business owners, or entrepreneurs rather than delivery jobs. Most delivery positions, including those with high volume or specialized services, do not reach this income level without additional business ventures or investments. Achieving such earnings generally requires ownership of a large business, significant scale, or specialized skills in high-demand industries.

Which is the best part-time delivery job?

Street delivery jobs such as food or package delivery are popular part-time options, offering flexible schedules and the ability to work independently. The best job depends on factors like pay, hours, and the delivery platform used, such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Amazon Flex, which often require a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

What is a Street Delivery job?

A Street Delivery job typically involves delivering packages, documents, or other items directly to customers or businesses within a specific area. This role often requires traveling on foot, by bike, or using a vehicle, depending on the employer's requirements. Responsibilities may include ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. Some positions may also involve handling payments or verifying recipient details. It is a fast-paced job that requires reliability, efficiency, and good navigation skills.

What is the best company to be a delivery driver for?

For delivery drivers, companies like Amazon Flex, Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Postmates are popular options, offering flexible schedules and app-based work. The best company depends on factors such as pay rates, delivery area, and personal preferences for work environment and technology used.

What are the typical working hours and conditions for a Street Delivery role?

Street Delivery roles often involve varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the employer and type of deliveries handled. The work is physically active and mostly performed outdoors in a range of weather conditions, requiring employees to be comfortable with walking or biking as well as carrying loads. Team members may work independently or coordinate with dispatchers and other delivery staff via mobile devices. If you value flexibility, autonomy, and staying active throughout your shift, this role offers a dynamic work environment that can suit a variety of lifestyles.

Job description

This is a story about growing up but never getting old.

Since day-one when our founder, Jimmy, opened his first Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, we’ve had the determination and badassery to settle for nothing less than the best. We are in early every morning baking fresh bread and slicing vegetables, and we’re not afraid to have a little (or a lot) of fun along the way. We succeed together as a family because let’s be honest, nobody can compete with the Rockstars of Jimmy John’s.

Calling all Go-Getters.

As a Delivery Driver, you will ensure that delivery orders are accurate and will deliver products to customers in a safe and courteous manner. When you’re not delivering, you will execute fast, accurate sandwiches, and will help keep the restaurant clean. In other words: you’re fast, we’re fast – we should work together.

To qualify for this rockstar opportunity, you have a valid driver’s license, at least two years of driving experience, proof of insurance, are eligible to work in the U.S. and meet the age requirements outlined within the application.

Let’s get this bread.

Be part of a culture of Go-Getters and Rockstars who succeed through goal setting, willingness to learn and a can-do attitude. Perks include:

  • Flexible Schedule Options
  • Advancement Opportunities
  • Employee Discounts*

Not sure if your experience aligns? We encourage you to apply. Sandwich lover or not, all backgrounds are welcome here.

Each Jimmy John’s franchisee is an independent employer and thus solely responsible for hiring decisions and all other employment-related matters for the franchisee’s restaurant(s). The terms “Company,” “Jimmy John’s,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refer to the specific entity (corporate or franchise) that owns and operates the Jimmy John’s restaurant to which you are applying.

Jimmy John’s and its franchisees are equal opportunity employers.

*Subject to availability and eligibility requirements.

We slice our all-natural* meats and fresh veggies in-house every day. Our fresh-baked bread is made right here where you can see it, and our house-made tuna salad is fresh every day. The flavor of a ripe tomato, crisp shredded lettuce, combined with fresh-baked bread, fresh-sliced meat and real Hellmann's® mayo - that's when the magic happens. Made with love every single day since 1983. That's Jimmy Fresh!
