HPS Strategy & Planning Senior Director

Description -

This role can be based out of our Spring, TX, Palo Alto, CA or Vancouver, WA offices.

This role is a key and pivotal leader in the HPS Marketing Leadership Organization. Setting the strategy for global HPS Marketing aligned with business goals and industry opportunity. A successful candidate will be able to triangulate the broader customer needs into opportunities for HPS to compete in the marketplace, strategically aligning to focused priorities in the business with the strategic positioning of Marketing to enable this work and drive success for HP's revenue growth.

HPS is the growth vector of HP. In this BU, new businesses are incubated, optimized from Horizon 3 to Horizon 2 businesses and eventually to land in Horizon 1. Our role in Marketing is to position HP in the best position to be successful in meeting our customer needs and opportunities as we develop this space. This Strategy and Planner will use their extensive expertise from their experience in executing commercial marketing in the markets and various business to keep our team focused on the customer opportunities, set our strategy on the optimal playbook and partner with our global and regional teams, HPS Category, HPS Sales to enable we have all that is needed to execute.

Overall scope of responsibilities:

  • HP Solutions WW Strategy & Planning Director Owns & Optimizes Corporate Marketing Program Investment (CMP): Modelling, Planning, prioritization and allocation worldwide across to maximize revenue and profitability for Software & Services, ACS & Hybrid Systems Business Units.

  • Develops Growth Plans: In partnership with peers in the BU teams, market marketing, finance and category set strategic growth trajectory programs to enable and measure marketing contribution to revenue targets.

  • Shapes long term direction: Partners with senior leadership to translate Business Unit Objectives into Division and Business Unit Marketing Goals, aligned to 4P priorities. Partners with Market teams to align and execute in accordance with goal setting.

  • Strategic Direction: Bring forward key customer knowledge, insights and strategic outlook on the industry.

  • Be present and engaged in both the technology shifts and customer needs shifting and set plans in motion to capture demand with HP Solutions.

  • Drives scalable growth: Develops insight led, measurable strategies to accelerate predictable and repeatable growth of revenue and profit

  • Builds high-performance marketing practice: Establishes best practice, performance frameworks and ways of working in line with HPs Commercial first ambition, integrated within Business Performance metrics

  • Leads a high performance team of Global Business Unit strategists and analysts across HPS - Marketing, BU, Finance, GTM Markets and Category.

  • Drives alignment across all organizations to a common goal.
