Chief Data & Platform Officer

Location: Fully Remote (Company is based in Annapolis, MD)

Through innovative technology, data, analytics, and digital marketing solutions, the Company partners with leading multifamily owners and operators to deliver measurable business results.


As the Company enters its next phase of growth, it is investing heavily in its technology ecosystem and seeking a strategic executive to lead its data, platform, and AI initiatives.

Position Overview


The Chief Data & Platform Officer will lead the Company's technology platforms, enterprise data strategy, systems integrations, analytics infrastructure, and AI initiatives.


This executive will build and optimize the technology ecosystem that enables the business to scale, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable client value.


This is not a traditional CTO or CIO role focused on IT infrastructure or cybersecurity. However, an understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology risk is required to help guide platform, data, and AI decisions.


The ideal candidate has built integrated data and platform ecosystems within a high-growth multifamily, PropTech, MarTech, or SaaS organization and has experience leading technology transformation.


Key Responsibilities


Platform Strategy

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and governance for the Company's technology ecosystem, including HubSpot, Asana, website architecture, client portals, reporting tools, workflow automation, and other business platforms.
  • Evaluate new technologies, oversee technology vendors, and continuously optimize the technology stack.


Data & Integrations

  • Build a centralized enterprise database and establish a single source of truth for business and client data.
  • Lead enterprise systems integrations across CRM, websites, client portals, reporting platforms, and internal applications.
  • Ensure strong governance around data quality, security, accessibility, and architecture.


Analytics & AI

  • Improve marketing attribution, reporting, and business intelligence through Google Analytics, campaign data, and integrated reporting.
  • Develop and execute the Company's AI strategy, including AI agents, workflow automation, and client-facing solutions that improve efficiency and innovation.


Executive Leadership

  • Lead the Technology Operations department, overseeing platform administration, HubSpot operations, data, workflow automation, systems integration, and business intelligence.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align technology investments with strategic business goals.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in technology, data, platforms, systems architecture, or enterprise applications
  • Proven success building enterprise data infrastructure and integrated technology ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of AI, automation, and emerging technologies
  • Expertise in data architecture, systems integration, APIs, enterprise platforms, CRM technologies, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Experience leading enterprise Hubspot or comparable CRM and platform implementations, migrations, and integrations
  • Experience leading technical teams and large-scale technology initiatives
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data privacy, and technology risk management

Preferred

  • Experience in the multifamily industry
  • PropTech, MarTech, or SaaS background
  • Experience integrating CRM, PMS, websites, portals, reporting platforms, and marketing technologies
  • Understanding of marketing technology, attribution, and customer analytics
  • Experience supporting a high-growth or investor-backed organization
