Position: Channel Strategy Manager, Wellness

Department: Sales for Wellness Brands (Honeywell, PUR, Braun, and Vicks)

Work Location: Marlborough, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

What you will be doing:

Helen of Troy is seeking a strategic Channel Strategy Manager who will serve as the critical pivot point between our Brand and Sales teams to drive merchandising, promotions, and commercial strategy for our wellness brands - Honeywell, Braun, Vicks and PUR. Reporting to the Director of Channel Strategy, you will help shape how our brands show up with consumers and retail partners by developing and executing channel strategies, supporting and monitoring key initiatives like our universal pricing policy, informing key customer-facing recommendations, and enabling successful line reviews and joint business planning.

This role maintains consistent communication loops with Brand, Innovation, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain, acting as both the voice of Sales within the brands and the voice of the Brand to the field. You will embed external retail insights into business planning, guide customer teams with clear strategy and selling direction, and ensure our plans are executed with excellence to position our brands for long-term growth.

Channel Strategy and Commercial Planning

  • Support the development and refinement of channel strategies at the category and enterprise level for the Wellness portfolio of brands.

  • Collaborate with Category Management, Brand Marketing, Innovation and Supply Chain to ensure alignment to strategies and commercial plans.

  • Translate strategy into assortment, shelving, pricing and promotion guidance for sales and cross-functional partners.

  • Track and surface channel risks (e.g., price matching, promo overlap) with recommended solutions.

Annual Business Planning

  • Provide customer and shopper insights to influence upstream brand planning.

  • Translate brand strategies into clear commercial priorities for Sales.

  • Share visibility to retailer milestones (line reviews, resets, price changes) that affect brand planning; inform SKU transition strategy and SKU rationalization decisions.

NPD & Launch Support

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Innovation teams for channel strategy for new product development.

  • Embed retailer requirements (pack size, margin expectations, reset timing) into NPD discussions.

  • Consolidate customer requests (custom packs, exclusives, in-and-outs) and assess fit with brand strategy and SOPs. Guide customer teams on feasibility and ensure proposals meet profitability requirements.

Sales Enablement

  • Prepare brand-aligned selling narratives, category insights, and recommendations for customer line reviews, modular resets and customer presentations.

  • Support development of Joint Business Plans by providing brand strategy, category framing, and commercial guidance.

  • Leverage syndicated data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen) to monitor performance to inform shelf productivity, assortment efficiency and merchandising effectiveness.

Sales Ops Support

  • Audit and collaborate across sales ops and sales leads to drive enforcement of universal pricing policy, including recommendations on stop ships, process improvements and overall workflows with vendor support.

  • Partner closely with sales ops to help support allocation scenarios to help guide recommended channel and customer quantities.

  • Coordinate input from key teams and support alignment on allocation decisions.

  • Partner with sales ops to ensure hand off on retailer decks, coordination of line review calendars and internal meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in MS&P, merchandising, or category management in a CPG/mass retailer focused business.

  • Strong experience with syndicated data

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience supporting retailer-facing initiatives (planogram resets, line reviews, JBPs)

  • Knowledgeable about the P&L; able to understand and manage key drivers, including pricing, trade spend, and margin optimization, to support profitable growth decisions.

  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%)

  • Authorized to work on a full-time basis in the United States

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $95,000.00 -$140,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may notbe applicableto other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just onecomponentof the total compensation package for employees.
