Job description

The Credit Strategy Manager owns and leads the analytical processes that support Aqua’s credit strategy, pricing, and executive decision‑making, ensuring analyses are high‑quality, well‑documented, validated, and ready for production use. This role is accountable for the end‑to‑end execution of complex credit analyses, with a strong focus on quality control and the translation of analytical insights into clear, actionable, and trusted recommendations for key stakeholders. The position owns analytical processes and outcomes end‑to‑end and provides expert guidance and informal coaching to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution and trusted results.

Essential Functions

Lead end‑to‑end credit analytics supporting strategy, pricing, policy, dealer oversight, collections, and executive decision‑making, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and impact simulations. Develop, maintain, and validate production‑ready analytical code, models, and workflows using SQL, Python, Excel, and BI tools, with rigorous quality control, testing, and documentation. Design and standardize scalable, repeatable analytical processes, including runbooks, analytical standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, auditability, and knowledge retention. Build and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions (e.g., Power BI) to monitor loan performance, funnel KPIs, dealer performance, pricing outcomes, and policy effectiveness. Serve as a subject matter expert on Aqua’s consumer credit systems, databases, and decisioning logic, ensuring analytical outputs align with system behavior and configurations. Monitor loan, dealer, and operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable recommendations, including dealer remediation or termination, in partnership with Credit and Sales leadership. Identify, evaluate, and integrate internal and external data sources to enhance analytical rigor, pricing accuracy, and credit strategy effectiveness. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, decision‑ready insights and recommendations for senior credit and executive leadership. Provide analytical oversight, mentorship, and review for junior analysts and act as a process owner within enterprise analytics and data governance initiatives. Collaborate closely with IT, data engineering, enterprise analytics, operations, sales, and credit partners to align analytical requirements with data, systems, and governance standards.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or STEM field, or commensurate work experience, required 5 years of experience in data analytics required 3 years of experience in consumer risk preferred Financial industry experience preferred Proficient in the utilization of SQL, Excel, and/or Python Attention to detail and accuracy required Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds. This position is an office‑based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
