Part-Time (20 Hours per Week) | Hybrid

Help Shape the Future of Primary Care in Rhode Island

The Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island (CTC-RI) is seeking an experienced physician leader to help guide statewide primary care transformation, healthcare innovation, physician engagement, and value-based care strategy.

This part-time leadership role is ideal for an actively practicing physician or experienced healthcare leader who wants to influence healthcare beyond a single practice, health system, or organization.

Working closely with healthcare leaders, state agencies, health plans, physician organizations, and community partners, you will help shape the future of primary care across Rhode Island.

About CTC-RI

CTC-RI is Rhode Island's statewide primary care transformation organization. We bring together providers, health plans, employers, state agencies, academic institutions, and community organizations to strengthen primary care, improve healthcare access, advance integrated behavioral health, support workforce development, and improve health outcomes.

What You'll Do

Lead Statewide Clinical Strategy

  • Help shape Rhode Island's primary care transformation agenda
  • Advise healthcare leaders on workforce development, value-based care, affordability, and healthcare innovation
  • Translate healthcare system challenges into actionable strategic priorities.

Engage and Influence Physician Leaders

  • Build relationships with physician leaders throughout Rhode Island
  • Convene and align stakeholders around shared transformation goals
  • Serve as a trusted physician voice in statewide healthcare discussions

Advance Healthcare Transformation

Provide leadership related to:

  • Advanced Primary Care
  • Value-Based Care
  • Population Health
  • Rural Health
  • Behavioral Health Integration
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Healthcare Workforce Sustainability

Inform Policy and Payment Strategy

  • Provide physician perspective on healthcare policy and payment reform
  • Collaborate with state agencies, health plans, employers, and healthcare organizations
  • Help ensure healthcare transformation efforts remain grounded in clinical realities

Contribute to Thought Leadership

  • Participate in presentations, conferences, publications, and statewide initiatives
  • Use healthcare quality, workforce, access, and equity data to inform strategy

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare transformation, value-based care, population health, healthcare policy, or healthcare system improvement
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Active practicing physician strongly preferred
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Medicine-Pediatrics, or another primary care specialty
  • Experience working with health plans, state agencies, health systems, physician organizations, or multi-stakeholder collaboratives
  • Experience influencing healthcare strategy at an organizational, regional, or statewide level
