OVERVIEW:

OBB MEDIA is seeking a full-time Assistant, Strategy & Development to provide support to the SVP, Strategy & Growth and Creative Development & Social Strategy team. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented self-starter with a strong interest in creative strategy, content production, and growth within a next-gen entertainment studio. The candidate must be able to prioritize competing demands, manage high-volume tasks with exceptional attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that blends strategy, creativity, and execution. The role is responsible for supporting growth initiatives and executive priorities, while assisting with creative development and production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support day-to-day tasks including scheduling, updating and creating agendas, joining calls and note-taking, research, logistics and travel, as directed.
  • Maintain calendar for the SVP, Strategy & Growth, coordinating with both external business partners and internal employees to set meetings and calls.
  • Maintain a rolling log of daily and weekly to-do lists and proactively help with accomplishing tasks while meeting deadlines. This includes creating meeting agendas, flagging pertinent items, distributing agendas to internal and external partners and proactively prioritizing tasks while anticipating needs.
  • Acts as note taker for calls, in-person and virtual meetings, as directed, and sends end of day wrap-out notes with reminders and follow-up items.
  • Join development and social strategy team meetings and stay up to date with all internal development projects.
  • Occasionally function as a producer's assistant on projects (including on-set creative/development/production responsibilities).
  • Assist with client events as needed, including serving as a client liaison to support coordination, communication, and on-site needs.
  • Maintain project documentation for website updates, internal records, and archival reference.
  • Support expense tracking and other day-to-day administrative needs.
  • May occasionally be asked to assist with tasks such as gifting, mailing packages or other errands.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ year agency experience, or experience supporting multiple executives at a high volume desk.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in lieu thereof.
  • Passion for creative development and media trends is required.
  • Hyper-focused, detail-oriented individual with a successful track record of strategically coordinating calendars seamlessly, anticipating needs, and maintaining smooth workflows.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional, and supportive disposition required.
  • Ability to take direction, adjust to rapid changes, be proactive and provide thoughtful on the spot problem solving while maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor
  • Driven, client-centric self-starter with a sincere "no task too small, can do" attitude.
  • Thorough understanding of how to work with confidential information, ability to use good judgment and maintain discretion.
  • On-set experience, a plus.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Airtable, Photoshop and Premiere, and digital design experience via Canva, a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to speak clearly and distinctly, and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds (and occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • Must be able to visually and physically inspect areas of the work site.
  • Must be able to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to drive, have reliable transportation, a valid license, and valid insurance (mileage is reimbursable).
  • Some travel is required for this role. Must be able to travel by car and airplane.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is an exempt on-site role Monday through Friday, and may require work on weekends occasionally. The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the final candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is eligible for a full range of medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Additional financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered, may apply.
