2000 16th Street, Denver, Colorado, 80202, United States of America
General Purpose of the Job
The Payor Partnerships team manages DaVita's $8B commercial revenue portfolio and leads the contracting process for DaVita's high-growth, national value-based care business, which encompasses more than $5B of medical spend.
As an Analyst, you will join the analytics function within Payor Partnerships, providing comprehensive financial, strategic, and analytical support for payor negotiations and strategic planning. This is a highly motivated, fun, and fast-paced team with extensive experience in negotiations, managed care, finance, and consulting, and is at the center of DaVita's strategy to grow as the partner of choice for kidney care. We foster a collaborative environment with a differential focus on both professional and personal growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As an Analyst on the Payor Partnerships team, you will gain robust exposure to financial modeling, data analytics, strategic decision-making, and executive-level communication and presentations. You will support both our fee-for-service (FFS) and integrated kidney care (IKC) contract negotiations with health insurers.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to estimate the financial impact of contract negotiations.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Design and execute complex analyses and reporting using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL to inform negotiation strategies and evaluate portfolio-level trends.
  • Executive Communication: Develop and present comprehensive strategy decks to support executive decision-making.
  • Market Research: Research industry news and trends to identify portfolio-level impacts, including potential risks and growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Plan and execute payor-related brand initiatives to ensure DaVita remains the kidney partner of choice for payor partners. Partner with teams across the Village to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in an analytics or quantitative field (e.g., finance, consulting, strategy).
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, engineering).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and the overall MS Office Suite.
  • A high degree of ownership, accountability, and a "get stuff done" mindset.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven experience working effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, feedback-rich environment with shifting priorities.

Essential Behaviors, Skills, and Attitudes Required for Success
  • Mission-Driven: Deep commitment to DaVita's core values: Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment, and Fun.
  • Team Player: Collaborative teammate who fosters a culture where everyone belongs.
  • Growth Mindset: Thrives in a feedback-rich environment, energized by the "sport" of deal work, with a natural curiosity to learn and a strong desire to grow.
  • Ownership Mentality: Brings a strong ownership mentality and desires high-visibility, high-impact work.

Join us as we pursue our vision "To Build the Greatest Healthcare Community the World has Ever Seen."
What We'll Provide:
