AI Strategy Analyst

The Nuclear Company

Washington, DC • On-site

$121K - $143K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Re-posted 12 days ago

Job description

The Nuclear Company is the fastest growing AI tech-enabled startup in the nuclear and energy space, pioneering a fleet-scale approach to building the next generation of nuclear reactors. Through our design-once, build-many model, we're accelerating the deployment of safe, reliable, and affordable nuclear energy.

We operate with an AI-first mindset. Every employee is expected to leverage AI, technology, and the Nuclear Operating System (NOS) as integral components of their role to improve the quality, speed, and impact of their work. We expect every team member to continuously identify opportunities to automate workflows, enhance decision-making, improve processes, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of NOS as a strategic operating capability that enables The Nuclear Company to scale with excellence.

We hire people who are driven by purpose, thrive in ambiguity, and are energized by building what has never been built before. Our team combines intellectual curiosity with high agency, embraces candid feedback and continuous learning, and holds themselves and others to exceptional standards. Our values-Transparency, Responsibility, Unity, Scrappiness, and Tenacity-guide how we hire, collaborate, and make decisions every day. They are not words on a wall; they are the standard by which we operate. TRUST is the foundation of our safety culture, fostering intellectual honesty, accountability, and open communication, while our values challenge every team member to execute with urgency, humility, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to our mission.

About the role

The Nuclear Company is building an AI-tech platform that will deploy America's next generation of nuclear power plants. We have world-class engineers building the AI software: you will use these tools to help our team move fast and execute at the highest level. This is a front-row seat to one of the most ambitious industrial companies being built in America.

We are assembling a small cohort of AI Analysts who will work directly within the Office of the CEO to help build an AI-native company from day one. You'll operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, technology, capital markets, deployment, communications, and execution.

Your job is simple:

Use artificial intelligence to make every person - and every team - around you significantly more productive. For example:

One day you may be preparing materials for investors.

The next you may be building AI-powered workflows for our legal team.

Then helping organize permitting documentation, summarizing technical meetings, improving executive communications, creating internal knowledge systems, or redesigning operational processes using emerging AI capabilities.

Your mission is to discover better ways for humans and AI to work together.

You will constantly evaluate emerging capabilities, rapidly learn new technologies, improve workflows, eliminate repetitive work, and help our company move faster.

If something takes ten hours today, your job is to figure out how it takes one tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered workflows that improve productivity across the company.
  • Research, evaluate, and rapidly adopt emerging AI capabilities.
  • Transform unstructured information into clear, actionable documents.
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, reports, and strategic materials.
  • Support capital raising, business development, operations, recruiting, government affairs, legal, engineering, and deployment teams.
  • Design repeatable systems that eliminate manual work.
  • Create internal knowledge bases and documentation.
  • Organize complex projects spanning multiple teams.
  • Help executives prepare for meetings, board discussions, customer engagements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities where AI can remove friction from the business.
  • Become an internal expert on practical enterprise AI adoption.
  • Help train others across the company to use AI effectively and responsibly.

Experience

  • You pick up new skills and ideas quickly - often faster than the people around you.
  • You take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do.
  • You naturally automate repetitive work.
  • You enjoy solving messy problems.
  • You are obsessed with making things simpler.
  • You thrive in ambiguity.
  • You move quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • You are comfortable being uncomfortable.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong judgment and professionalism.
  • We care far more about demonstrated capability than credentials.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation packages
  • 401k with company match
  • Medical, dental, vision plans
  • Generous vacation policy, plus holidays

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $121,000 - $143,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company's discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.

EEO Statement
The Nuclear Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an environment of inclusion in the workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. We prohibit discrimination in all aspects of employment, including hiring, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, and termination.

Certain positions at The Nuclear Company may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law. Compliance with these export controls may result in The Nuclear Company limiting its consideration of certain applicants.
