The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for leading business development planning, shaping long-term market vision, and managing complex sales and proposal activities. This role partners closely with engineering, legal, finance, and risk teams to structure competitive deals, support customer negotiations, and identify new opportunities for product and service growth. By combining technical understanding with commercial strategy, the Strategic Account Manager ensures high-quality proposal delivery and drives success across medium-to-large sales environments.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Formulating and executing proposal strategies, including deal structure, pricing, and commercial terms.
  • Leading proposal development and supporting customer negotiations to secure new business.
  • Developing long-term market vision and business development plans for key product lines and regions.
  • Identifying new opportunities with cross-functional partners to expand products and services.
  • Managing complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handling products and systems requiring strong technical understanding and the ability to adapt solutions to customer environments.
  • Coordinating sales teams across engineering, legal, risk, finance, and other functions.
  • Supporting commercial strategy for large, challenging, or multi-country markets.
  • Managing key business unit clients and ensuring high-quality commercial delivery.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and Proposal management.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Show strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Have proven ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate experience leading programs or projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Be able to document, plan, market, and execute commercial programs effectively.
  • Bring established project management skills.
