Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and accomplished CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to join our executive team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This role is pivotal in driving our financial strategy and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance with proven experience in insurance, tax, strategic financial management, job costing, and investment strategy. As a member of the executive team, the CFO will play a crucial role in influencing the direction of the company and engaging with stakeholders. This role is in office at Lexington Kentucky.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's long-term goals.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to the board of directors.
  • Manage relationships with banks, and other financial institutions to secure funding and manage capital structure.
  • Evaluate financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with other executive team members to align financial goals with company objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of financial management experience.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and investment strategies.
  • Experience with financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and engage effectively with external stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
