This role will offer you the following daily challenges: Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.

In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

Basic Qualifications To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e... Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management) Desired Skills To be effective, ideally, you should also have: Knowledge of LM Space Systems Programs. Demonstrated proactive/strategic approach to project management with a track record of success

Previous experience with procurement processes and regulations under DoD (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and or ITAR). Supplier management experience. Exposure to a category management environment.

Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
