We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Project Manager in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami, FL to provide strategic leadership across major infrastructure programs and client accounts in South Florida. This role is ideal for a proven project executive who excels at managing high-profile programs, developing long-term client relationships, driving business growth, and mentoring project management professionals.
Your role
Strategic Project and Program Leadership
  • Ensure project and program objectives align with client priorities and AtkinsRéalis business goals.
  • Serve as Principal-in-Charge for major projects and programs, maintaining ultimate accountability for delivery excellence.
  • Lead complex, high-risk engagements involving alternative delivery methods, multiple business units, and joint venture partnerships.
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management, resource planning, and financial performance across assigned programs.
  • Act as a senior advisor to project teams and business leadership on critical project matters.

Client & Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key public and private sector clients.
  • Lead strategic client engagement activities and support growth of major accounts.
  • Participate in and facilitate Go/No-Go decisions for significant pursuits and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations for master service agreements, major contracts, and complex change orders.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for significant client, contractual, commercial, and performance issues.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to revenue growth and market expansion efforts.

Practice Leadership & Talent Development
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Senior Project Managers and emerging project leaders.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide project management standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and organizational leadership objectives.
  • Share lessons learned and industry best practices across business units and project teams.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida is required.
  • Minimum 15 years of post-licensure experience in roadway design, with significant experience with FDOT.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and FDOT CADD standards.
  • Strong understanding of FDOT design processes, including Design-Build and traditional delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
