Job Description

The Program Manager, Infusion Services, Gastro serves as the strategic business lead for the SKYRIZI Infusion Service Network (ISN), a critical component of AbbVie's gastroenterology commercial infrastructure. This role is responsible for developing and directing program strategy, conducting rigorous performance evaluation and return-on-investment (ROI) assessment, and delivering actionable recommendations to senior leadership to continuously optimize the ISN program and related infusion business initiatives.

The Program Manager functions as the primary cross-functional liaison, connecting Trade ISN program services, Market Access APEX (the data-processing function for ISN accounts), and the Gastro Account Manager (GAM) National field team. This individual oversees the design and execution of quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with ISN accounts, ensuring all reviews are grounded in meaningful metrics and oriented toward improving patient outcomes for SKYRIZI infusion therapy. The role also champions the development of additional evaluation tools required for ongoing program assessment and optimization.

Success in this position requires demonstrated executive presence, exceptional analytical and communication capabilities, and the ability to drive alignment across a complex matrix organization. The Program Manager will engage confidently with both internal leadership and external partners, translating data and insights into compelling, strategic narratives.

The following reflects the principal duties, responsibilities, and expectations of this role. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

  • Lead strategic oversight of the SKYRIZI Infusion Service Network (ISN), serving as the accountable business owner for program direction, performance standards, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Evaluate program performance on an ongoing basis, including comprehensive ROI assessment, operational metrics review, and overall business impact analysis; synthesize findings into clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify and recommend program enhancements and process improvements to optimize the ISN program and related infusion business programs in alignment with AbbVie's commercial priorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison and point of integration among Trade ISN program services, Market Access APEX, and the GAM National field team, ensuring seamless information flow, coordinated execution, and shared accountability across all stakeholder groups.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development and execution of quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with ISN accounts, including agenda design, data compilation, presentation development, and follow-through on action items.
  • Ensure all QBRs are metric-driven, patient-outcome focused, and structured to support continuous improvement conversations with ISN account partners.
  • Develop, or oversee the development of, additional evaluation tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks necessary for ongoing program assessment, performance benchmarking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Navigate AbbVie's matrixed organizational structure with proficiency; proactively build relationships, manage competing priorities, and drive cross-functional alignment to advance program objectives.
  • Communicate program findings, strategic recommendations, and performance updates to internal leadership and external stakeholders with a high degree of clarity, credibility, and executive presence.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, regulatory, and other internal functions as needed to ensure all program activities adhere to AbbVie policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Support change management and adoption efforts as new program strategies, tools, or processes are introduced to field teams and external accounts.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related field) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, program management, market access, trade, or a related function within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and evaluating business performance outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across a matrix organization, building consensus and influencing without direct authority.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations and reports.
  • Strong analytical acumen; ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in infusion services, specialty pharmacy, or a related clinical/commercial environment.
