Job description

About the Role
The Global Logistics team is responsible for building and scaling logistics capabilities that enable new growth opportunities across Uber's platform. As part of a small strategic operations team, this role will help operationalize and scale emerging logistics capabilities by driving execution across critical delivery operations workstreams.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution and is responsible for translating operational priorities into scalable solutions. The role will help shape both the near-term execution approach and the evolving long-term operating strategy for emerging logistics capabilities as the organization continues to scale and evolve. The role is part of the Uber Direct organization and will play a key role in supporting the next stage of growth and evolution of the business.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguity, building structure from the ground up, and leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-evolving environment. This person should be equally comfortable defining strategy, driving operational execution, and adapting approaches as business needs evolve and new information emerges. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong owner mentality and the ability to balance detailed operational execution with broader strategic thinking.
*This role requires travel as needed to support integration activities, operational learning, stakeholder engagement, and launch readiness efforts.
What You'll Do
  • Own Delivery Operations Workstreams: Lead critical delivery operations initiatives within the logistics integration and operating model buildout
  • Represent Last Mile Operations: Serve as the primary owner and point of coordination for the last-mile workstream by developing deep expertise in delivery operations, operational requirements, and execution models
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate execution across Product, Tech, Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives and drive alignment on strategically important decisions
  • Improve Operational Performance: Use operational insights, performance data, and business learnings to help define scalable delivery operating strategies and identify operational improvement opportunities
  • Optimize Delivery Operations: Develop scalable delivery workflows, operational processes, and execution frameworks that improve operational readiness and delivery reliability
  • Manage End-to-End Execution: Oversee milestones, risks, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and execution risks across assigned workstreams while balancing strategic problem-solving with hands-on execution

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or analytics in high-growth or matrixed environments
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and BI tool proficiency

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in last-mile delivery, marketplace operations, or logistics environments
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving execution across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
  • Experience building or scaling delivery operations programs, operational workflows, or logistics processes in fast-moving organizations
  • Experience helping define operational strategy in ambiguous, zero-to-one, or rapidly scaling environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Experience operationalizing new products, operational capabilities, or delivery workflows
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed operational execution and move effectively between high-level strategy and operational detail
  • Familiarity with logistics, delivery operations, marketplace operations, or platform-based business models is a plus
