About the Role

As the Senior Operations Manager in our food‑based warehouse, you will be a driving force behind the overall performance and success of daily operations in the facility. You will manage scheduling, oversee daily operations reports, and increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic action plans.

By managing key aspects of the supply chain, you will lead and coordinate various teams to ensure seamless and optimized operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong logical reasoning. The Production Manager balances the day‑to‑day operations on the warehouse floor, being an agent of change, and supporting the professional development of a large team of individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a Safety‑First culture in our food‑based Fulfillment Center (FC). Responsible for meeting site environmental, health, quality & safety performance metrics. Maintains or exceeds the requirements and standards of OSHA, AlB, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, and FDA.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations in the FC, driving performance to continuously meet both long‑ and short‑term company goals. Prepare operating reports, establish KPIs, and provide value‑driven feedback to direct reports.
  • Lead and motivate large cross‑functional teams, including receiving, production, inventory control, and shipping. Foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture to meet or exceed operational goals.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization identifying areas of opportunity and implementing new processes to meet business needs. Implements best practices and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among different departments within the warehouse. Coordinate with logistics, inventory, and distribution teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated supply chain. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve on‑time delivery, maintain high product quality, and optimize turnover within the warehouse.
  • Develops a highly effective site leadership team, by applying high standards for selection and continued performance; establishes clear and stretching goals, communicates and delegates key responsibilities, and actively utilizes all performance, development, and career tools, to their full potential.
  • Analyze production data to prepare and issue performance reports, identifying areas of improvement. Proficient in root cause analysis, with the ability to develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Build strong professional relationships with their direct reports and site HR Business Partners. Identifies and effectively communicates urgent issues, both internal and external, to site HR as needed and maintains accurate administrative records.

  • Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities, delegate, and manage time efficiently
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations
  • Experience training others to new processes or procedural updates
  • An aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Strong team management skills with ability to supervise multiple teams
  • Experience leading and motivating large teams
  • Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and people management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for improved outcomes
