Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW


The Integration Engineer is responsible for development, and launch of strategic integration solutions that drive operational efficiency and client connectivity across Frachtโ€™s global logistics platform. This role implements and maintains integrations between customers, B2B partners, and internal applications using MuleSoft and other enterprise integration tools, working closely with the Integration & Architecture team to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work with senior leaders to build across a broad integration domain
  • Facilitate and document technical architecture across multiple complex, interconnected systems
  • Manage technical integrations of all products, with ongoing responsibility for stability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Design and develop scalable, reusable integration modules and services aligned with enterprise architecture standards
  • Develop tools and processes that establish and maintain operational excellence across integration workflows
  • Drive full CI/CD implementation for all products under responsibility
  • Formulate, evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions for complex technical integrations in support of business objectives and problem resolution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration onboarding, guiding customers and internal teams through setup, configuration, and go-live
  • Serve as subject matter expert for integration-related inquiries, providing timely support and resolution for issues across all integrated systems and products
  • Provide proactive monitoring, maintenance, and support for all active integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Develop, implement, and support complex API and EDI integrations for freight forwarding applications spanning air, ocean, customs brokerage, and logistics in an Agile environment
  • Maintain thorough documentation for all integrations, supporting knowledge transfer and long-term platform governance
  • Triage, diagnose, and resolve production integration failures and data discrepancies across integrations, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to restore service within defined SLAs
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring integration issues and implement permanent fixes, driving a continuous reduction in support volume over time
  • Own the day-to-day operational health of all deployed integrations, including scheduled maintenance windows, version upgrades, certificate renewals, and dependency patching
  • Build and maintain alerting, logging, and dashboarding for integration runtime environments to enable early detection of failures and performance degradation
  • Participate in escalation procedures for business-critical integrations, ensuring timely response to production incidents during and outside standard business hours
  • Manage and maintain runtime environments across development, staging, and production, ensuring configuration consistency and deployment readiness at all times


EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


  • Experience within international supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation logistics
  • Experience developing real-time integrations with internal and external systems using web APIs and services
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for data transformation requirements
  • Experience across the full software development life cycle
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, IBM Sterling, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Minimum 3 years of ETL development experience on any leading platform
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows, automate processes, or enhance integration capabilities โ€” familiarity with developing or extending AI-driven solutions is a strong plus
  • Strong technical documentation skills with the ability to communicate complex integration concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
