Job Description
The Strategic Financial Analyst has experience translating complex financial, market, and business data into clear insights, executive storylines, and recommended actions. This role uses strong financial analytical judgment, financial acumen, and concise communication to identify trends, pressure-test assumptions, support business decisions, and connect quantitative analysis to strategic priorities. This person has familiarity with P&L's and can extrapolate the why's behind the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Support & Execution
    • Analyze quantitative inputs such as financial results, trends, market data, and operational metrics and translate into clear storylines, implications, and recommended actions.
    • Develop structured analysis to support key business priorities, strategic decisions, and leadership discussions.
    • Synthesize insights across Product and Practice business leaders and business partners to identify common themes, risks, opportunities, and decision points.
    • Create data-driven views of business performance, market positioning, and client trends.
    • Identify key assumptions, variances, risks, and implications within financial and operational analyses.
  • Governance & Reporting
    • Prepare executive-level materials, including summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and data-driven narratives that clearly connect facts to business implications.
  • Operational Effectiveness
    • Use AI, analytics, and other tools to improve speed, quality, and depth of business insights.
    • Identify trends, outliers, and efficiency opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
    • Translate operating model, role clarity, and organizational data into practical insights for leadership decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, eight to 10 years of related experience
  • Experience in strategy, business analytics, finance, market research, business management, or a related analytical role
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing financial data, market data, trends, and business performance metrics to develop insights and action plans
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build analyses, identify patterns, pressure-test assumptions, and convert data into executive-ready presentations
  • Strong business writing skills with the ability to simplify complex information into concise storylines, key messages, and recommended next steps
  • Proven ability to manage multiple analyses and deliver executive-ready insights in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00
