Job description

The Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Birmingham, AL.


Leading Birmingham Law Firm is willing to pay what it takes, plus a full benefits package! First year potential $120K+! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone dependable with solid workers' comp experience looking for a flourishing, well-established firm to work with!


The Attorney will handle workers’ compensation cases from intake through resolution, including evaluating claims, advising clients on legal options, and developing case strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, and representing clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. The role also involves collaborating with internal staff, maintaining organized case files, and ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal labor and employment laws. The attorney will be expected to manage a caseload efficiently, maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to a professional, ethical work environment.


Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Alabama. Prior experience in workers’ compensation or personal injury law is preferred, but candidates with relevant internships or clerkships will be considered.


Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients and stakeholders, with sound judgment and ethical decision-making. Proficiency in Legal Research, including case law, statutes, and administrative regulations relevant to workers’ compensation. Effective Negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in drafting legal documents, and strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.


Normal Hours: Monday - Friday 8 - 5, Criminal background check and Drug testing.
