STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE

Aboutthe role:Narrativeseeks a Strategic Communications Associate to join our team of communications and public affairs professionals. The ideal candidate will coordinate daily operations and execute various client-related tasks. Individuals in this position will join several highly integrated, client-facing account teams focused on a wide variety of issue areas, including healthcare, tech, financial services, energy,and more.Responsibilities include writing press releases, talking points, social media content, and memos; building press lists; pitching reporters and producers; assisting with press events; and conducting press and political research. Associates serve a crucial role in Narrative's approach to telling complex stories, informed by various perspectives, interests, and experiences. Diversity of thought and challenging assumptions are immediate areas where Associates are asked to contribute and apply their expertise.

About the ideal candidate:Applicants must work well under deadlines, have excellent written and oral communications skills, have strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, as well as a desire to learnanddeliverthe highest level of client service.Previous experience in politics, public affairs, traditionalcommunications,or public relations is preferred.Skills withGoogle Analytics, open-sourced CMS systems, as well asthe Adobe CreativeSuiteor Canva are a plus.Candidates must be based in DC.
