Job description

Strategic Communications Specialist
The Opportunity:
To perform effectively, organizations need help looking at their operation from the outside. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization such as in a merger or split-up, our clients need a change management professional who will take the time to learn the complexities of their mission and provide them with tangible advice on business process improvements, mission success, and standard methodologies.
That's why we need you, an experienced management analyst who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customer's operations and use your specialized experience to give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision.
On our team, you'll develop an overall picture of your client's current structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. Through discussions and workshops with stakeholders and a wide array of engineering professionals you will identify the elements that work best in their environment and the areas for improvement. Once you have a thorough understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you will present the path forward-and the expected results-to your clients.

You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience with strategic communications or project management
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or science management, operations research analysis, or financial or cost analysis
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoN organizations such as Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Mission Systems
  • Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Experience working with executive-level clients
  • Ability to author high quality briefings and formulate responses to data calls
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and adaptable to changing client priorities and collaborate across multiple client organizations or teams
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with process improvement or strategic planning
  • Experience with DoW acquisition
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of DoW systems engineering
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
