Strategic Account Manager – Central South Territory: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas Preferred Locations: Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio Compensation: $90,000–$115,000 Base + $39,000 Target Incentive (Uncapped) Car Allowance: Motus Program Travel: 60–75% Reporting To: National Sales Director Position Summary The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) throughout the Central South territory. This individual will manage the full sales lifecycle, including territory planning, prospecting, account development, contracting, pricing strategy, distributor engagement, forecasting, and account expansion. This is a strategic account-based sales role focused on healthcare systems and supply chain stakeholders rather than traditional pharmaceutical detailing. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies.
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Build relationships with pharmacy, supply chain, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive account penetration and identify new business opportunities.
  • Support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and implementation activities.
  • Partner with distributors and channel stakeholders to maximize product utilization.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM activity.
  • Conduct customer business reviews and develop growth plans for key accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of healthcare sales experience selling into hospitals, health systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
  • Experience working with hospital pharmacy and supply chain customers.
  • Understanding of GPOs, distributors, wholesalers, and hospital purchasing processes.
  • Experience with contracting, pricing strategy, and account management.
  • Proven success in prospecting, territory development, and relationship building.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel 60–75%.
  • Reside within the territory near a major metropolitan area and airport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Generic pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Injectable pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Hospital anesthesia, critical care, or perioperative product experience.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, contract implementation, and distributor execution.
  • Knowledge of acute care and non-acute healthcare environments.
