Job description

Storyline Lead
The Opportunity:
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
What you'll work on:
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of the Operational Environment (OE), ensuring exercise scenarios reflect current and emerging operational challenges and align with training objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate detailed exercise storylines, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects, and supporting narrative products that drive training realism and meet training audience learning goals.
  • Oversee storyline implementation during exercises at multiple locations, monitor progress and adjust storylines in real time to maintain synchronization with training audience operations.
  • Work closely with a Military Scenario Planner, other Storyline Leads, and MCTP divisions to ensure dynamic, doctrinally accurate, and fully integrated storyline execution.
  • Actively engage throughout the Exercise Life Cycle (ELC), including participation in weekly Exercise Working Group (EWG) meetings, Initial Planning Events (IPEs), and Final Planning Events (FPEs).
  • Ensure storyline elements are synchronized across all domains, including land, air, maritime, space, cyber, and information, and maintain narrative consistency throughout design and execution phases.
  • Provide agile support during execution to refine injects, respond to training audience actions, and ensure storyline continuity and training effectiveness.

You Have:
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint doctrine
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software
  • Ability to Travel up to 20% of the time CONUS and OCONUS
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience in the military, OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the military

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in operational or exercise planning, scenario design, or training support for large-scale exercises
  • Experience supporting Training, Warfighter Exercises (WFX), or Joint and Combined Training events
  • Experience developing or managing Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs) and exercise injects
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint operations, Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) , and multidomain operational concepts
  • Knowledge of operational environments, hybrid threats, and large-scale combat operations
  • Possession of strong writing, communication, and coordination skills
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Joint Professional Military Education (JPME I)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
