The Purchasing & Receiving Clerk will be in a physically active role and must be able to lift and move heavy products while adhering to proper safety guidelines.
The Job:
Under the finance discipline, the Purchasing & Receiving Clerk has a unique opportunity to work with all departments within the hotel. Directly reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the responsibilities of the Receiving Clerk include but are not limited to:
• Maintain inventory storeroom organization and cleanliness
• Receive goods delivered to the hotel at the controlled access points, verifying items are received against shipment, while ensuring the quantity, quality, weights and purchase specifications are as ordered.
• Properly store goods received and route shipments to its final department destinations
• Assist with auditing and processing of received invoices
• Actively participate in month end inventory audits
• Work collaboratively with Kitchen and Food & Beverage Outlet departments to enforce all standard operating procedures related to the storeroom area
• Assist Purchasing Manager in procurement of goods for the hotel while utilizing the hotel's strategic sourcing platforms and following established product specifications to ensure quality and profitability of all items
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards within the storeroom area in compliance with OSHA and MSDS.
• Follow and enforce proper safeguards for the security of the food and beverage storeroom assets.
Requirements
1-3 years in high volume purchasing/receiving
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, consistently during the workday
Inventory experience desired
Refined verbal and oral communication skills
Experience in taking care of guests in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule availability
