Job Description Step into a key operational role where your attention to detail and warehouse expertise directly support on-time, efficient manufacturing. This is a hands-on position in a busy materials environment where you'll manage stock, move product safely, and keep production running smoothly through accurate inventory control. About the Role: The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, picking, and transporting materials required for manufacturing operations.

This role ensures accurate inventory control, safe material handling, and timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. The Storekeeper operates warehouse equipment including forklifts, sideloaders, and stackers while maintaining compliance with company safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation, and ensure accurate and timely system entry.

Store materials in designated locations, maintaining proper stock rotation and clear labeling for easy identification. Pick and pack orders for production and other internal customers according to work orders and schedules. Transport materials safely within the facility using forklifts, sideloaders, stackers, and other material handling equipment.

Monitor stock levels, perform regular cycle counts, and assist with full physical inventories to maintain accurate records. Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and completing required shipping documentation. Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse and storage areas in line with company safety and quality standards.

Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a warehouse, stores, or materials handling role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong inventory management skills, including stock rotation, replenishment, and basic stock control practices.

Proficiency in order picking and packing processes for internal and external shipments. Solid data entry and recordkeeping skills using warehouse management or ERP systems. Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, documentation, and basic freight handling.

Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and work to production schedules. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.

Desirable Skills: Experience in a manufacturing environment with just-in-time or lean material supply practices. Familiarity with barcoding, handheld scanners, and automated inventory systems. Knowledge of basic quality control checks on incoming materials.

Experience coordinating with logistics providers and carriers. Understanding of workplace safety regulations related to warehousing and material handling. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (required).

Formal training or certification in warehouse operations or logistics (preferred). Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire (required). Additional material handling equipment certifications (e.g., sideloader, stacker) considered an advantage

If you're a reliable Storekeeper who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and keeping production supplied, this role offers a solid opportunity to make a measurable impact-apply now to be considered.
