Job Description
Job Title: Scanning Coordinator Reports To: Store Manager Location: Store
Summary
Inventories, stores, prices in retail store by performing the following duties. Promote the general welfare of the store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned .
  • Performs Duties in a Safe and efficient Manner
  • Knows the store's scanning system and maintains a complete routine and emergency procedure instructions fro the system
  • Verifies arrival of labels, talkers, ad signs, shelf tags and pricing reports
  • Handles not-on-file and price discrepancies as top priority
  • Verifies that each new and existing item has the proper attributes programmed for food stamps, taxes and department status
  • Applies weekly ad items and returns old ad items to regular shelf prices
  • Maintains the mix match items, price look-up codes and display and exception priced items
  • Hangs all shelf labels and signs
  • Assists in markdown procedures of damaged and discontinued sheets and upcoming specials to appropriate personnel
  • Performs regular system back ups, in accordance with store policy frequency and system capability
  • Maintains movement reports on items scheduled for deletion from the item file
  • Deletes items carried by the store
  • Provides a list of slow movement items to department managers for their evaluation
  • Maintains a system of on going shelf verification
  • Sets in place a plan of action for all employees to communicate pricing problems or not -on-file items to scanning coordinator
  • Maintains adequate pricing supplies and store sign programs
  • Supports the shrink and store loss prevention efforts through product audits
  • Maintains a regular and effective housekeeping program throughout the store
  • Participates in training activities to increase personal skill levels improving overall store operations and customer service

Education and/or Experience

Mathematical Skills
