STORE MANAGER POSITION
Position Summary - - Please note: this is a full-time, year-round position.
A Store Manager will uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team. Store Managers position are responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the store. Store Managers are responsible for maximizing store sales and profitability, along with minimizing expenses, while ensuring that the store is optimally stocked and merchandised, and to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. A store manager contributes to the growth and development of the management team and store associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALES AND OPERATIONS
  • Hire, train and develop retail staff with goals for growth and success in their positions, provide ongoing performance feedback and recognize accomplishments
  • Forecast employee scheduling needs to meet customer demand and create work schedules accordingly.
  • Review staffing strengths and opportunities with the Owner prior to additions or terminationsย 
  • Coordinate the overall supervision of staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and company procedures are followed accurately including delegation of daily workload among associates to meet merchandising and visual presentation standards
  • Oversee counting the daily cash register for accuracy and daily bank deposits.
  • Conduct associate evaluations as per company standards to provide feedback for improvement, praise and recognition, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement in-store marketing including promotions, events and seasonal merchandising in the Inventory Mgmt. System based on store needs as per store owner approvals. Train the employees to execute all promotions and events. Complete merchandising updates according to Company standards.ย

CUSTOMER SERVICE
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  Promote Customer Service as the #1 Priority. This must be accomplished on a daily basis through observing, monitoring and coaching associateโ€™s performance and interactions on the sales floor
  • Regularly promote and teach โ€œAmaze Every Customer Every Timeโ€ while leading by example and coaching.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
  • Document at least one (1) Observation per associate monthly and provide coaching in order to ensure consistency of service to all customers.
INVENTORY
  • Introduce new items to store inventory. Consistently look for product demands from customers to maintain appropriate product profiles per store needs
  • Create replenishment orders in the Inventory Mgmt. System on a weekly basis, receive orders and lead SKU management efforts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory at all stages through on-hand integrity, receiving and transfers, store communication, product mix and flow, and adhering to Company best practices, metrics and deadlines.
  • Utilize available inventory reports to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels and maximize inventory accuracy.
COACHING AND TRAINING

  • Work on his/her professional development through leadership training opportunities (self-directed learning, local business events, Ace learning and industry events, etc.).
  • Identify appropriate training for store associates and oversee all training requirements for all associates (e.g. New-Hire orientation, on-the-job training, vendor training, etc.).
SAFETY, COMPLIANCE AND STORE ENVIRONMENT

  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, and serves as role model for safety.
  • Enforce store environment procedures to ensure and maintain the best store appearance.
  • Conduct preventative safety inspections, and take appropriate actions to correct all issues.
The minimum requirements for this position include:
EDUCATION / TRAINING:ย 
High School degree, some college preferred. Posses a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn
ย EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years retail management experience
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:ย 
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Must have good verbal and written communication skills
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Ability to provide motivation and leadership to associates storewide in a fair and impartial manner.
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย High degree of analytical skills, and the ability to delegate and be self-directed.
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Excellent written and verbal communication skills
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Technically skilled in basic retail POS computer systems including related software
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Develop and maintain client relationships and strategic partnerships
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Dress according to company policy
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Possess valid in-state driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with companyโ€™s insurance carrierโ€™s standards
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Work at least 50 hours per week including on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays per the needs of the store

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
โ—ย  ย  ย  ย Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
