We are looking for an organized, compliance-focused, and hands-on Inventory Manager to support dispensary operations and ensure inventory accuracy from intake to sale. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance, supporting the customer experience, and driving operational efficiency within the dispensary environment.
The Inventory Manager is responsible for the accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting of cannabis inventory and ancillary products within one or more assigned dispensaries. This position oversees product intake, stock management, expiration tracking, quarantined inventory, returns, and inventory team oversight to ensure the right products are available to meet customer demand while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management & Compliance- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting of all cannabis inventory and ancillary products
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local cannabis regulations, including inventory tracking, reporting, and security requirements
- Conduct daily inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Oversee product intake by verifying manifests against incoming shipments and accurately entering products into seed-to-sale systems
- Monitor and manage product expiration dates to minimize product loss
- Conduct routine inventory audits to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Maintain organization and security of vault and inventory storage areas
- Manage quarantined, defective, expired, or returned inventory in accordance with company procedures
- Oversee destruction processes for expired or non-compliant products
- Serve as Agent in Charge (AIC) when necessary, including oversight of product transfers, returns, and disposal activities
Product & Vendor Coordination- Partner with dispensary leadership and purchasing teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and product assortment
- Coordinate with vendors and cultivators regarding product details, compliance documentation, and inventory needs
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support consistent product availability
- Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and reflected within inventory systems
- Maintain testing documentation and compliance records for all products
Sales & Operational Support- Pick and pull orders for in-store and online fulfillment
- Support dispensary team members with inventory-related questions and operational troubleshooting
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams regarding promotional opportunities for aging or slow-moving inventory
- Analyze sales trends and inventory movement to support forecasting and inventory optimization
- Identify and support process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of relevant inventory experience, preferably within grocery, retail, cannabis, or another high-volume regulated environment
- Experience with inventory tracking systems and seed-to-sale platforms such as Metrc, BioTrack, or similar software preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in a compliance-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to generate and analyze reports to support inventory and purchasing decisions
