About the Job

The Showroom Floor Assistant is responsible for putting out inventory (appliances, grills and accessories) and merchandising functions. Assembling grills, displays, etc. The assistant helps the store manager maintain both the showroom and backroom of store. Customer and salesperson interaction is a regular part of this position, so customer service skills are important. Job requires some Saturday shifts.

A professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting the company’s commitment to our customer is a must. This role includes a lot of lifting and use of hand trucks. Ability to work alone and complete tasks is important. Basic problem solving is a good skill, as everyday in this role is a new one. This role offers room for advancement and opportunity for the right candidate to move into sales or other support roles.

Some of the duties include:

  • Manage and maintain the clearance area
  • Assist with routine inventory
  • Receive products and enter into software system
  • Prepare, process, and package products sold off the floor
  • Loading customer pick-ups into customer vehicle
  • Coordinate shipments and transfers with the local distribution center
  • Maintain store displays cleanliness, labels and/or price tags
  • Maintains Showroom and restrooms including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, changing light bulbs, etc. 
  • Assemble grills, displays, etc.
