As a Nike Stores Retail District Director, you will lead a multi-store district of talent and be responsible for developing the vision and business strategies that drive a selling culture, operations and organizational goals of customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity in accordance with Nike's Brand philosophy and Consumer Direct Acceleration.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a top-tier retail leader with a successful background managing a multi-store business in a fast-paced environment, with high-visibility and Global impact. The ideal candidate builds inclusive, diverse teams through hiring, professional development, ongoing training, and consistent accountability that will elevate the District, the Territory and WHQ. A skillset that includes identifying technical, operational, and organizational roadblocks and seeking partnership to resolve them promptly, is highly desired. They will lead and inspire their team to prioritize customer service and deliver the Nike experience to our consumers. A strong connection to the community will be strengthened by Nike's Community Ambassador program to further build partnerships within the local community.
What you will work on
As an elevated leader, you will directly lead Store Managers and will be responsible for all the team and business results (critical metrics) of the district. You will develop district budget and forecasting plans that support corporate retail initiatives, including tracking results while analyzing business performance against marketplace/stores. You will also build action plans to maximize profitability, efficiency and business growth. In addition, you will guide current and new initiatives for Nike's Future by demonstrating your knowledge of consumer insights, market -place trends and feedback.
You will influence district operations to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals while maintaining safety and operational standards. You will communicate and deliver rewards and recognition for stores within your district.
Who you will work with
As a key leader you will provide elevated partnership with the Territory Senior Director of Stores and Territory HR, Talent Acquisition and Loss Prevention Partners to develop long-term strategies for store, district and territory impact. You will build constructive and collaborative relationships with Nike partners and manage district performance by staying current with industry trends, consumer experiences, revenue, wages, shrinkage and operating income.
Qualifications
What you bring
  • 8+years retail management experience
  • Experience managing cross functional, diverse teams of 75 employees or greater.
  • Multi-unit retail operations experience and/or have managed a high-volume business.
  • Extensive experience and ability to lead the delivery of a high level of customer service in a brand retailer
  • Skilled in building, leading and managing successful diverse teams
  • Proficient in Retail operations and acumen, budgeting, planning, visual merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness and availability to travel, including overnight stays
