Promote store sales and growth through quality leadership
Responsibilities to
Store Personnel:
1. Fully train and develop all employees
2. Fully develop an Assistant Team Leader if required in the store
3. Communicate and delegate work in an appropriate manner
4. Hold employees accountable for their performance and actions
5. Conduct regularly scheduled store meetings
6. Provide accurate, timely employee evaluations and feedback
7. Help employees establish meaningful goals
8. Follow up on employee goal progress and provide assistance as needed
9. Accurately and consistently document employee performance
10. Complete employee paperwork when due (new hire, evaluations, etc.)
11. Send employees to training programs as scheduled
12. Effectively counsel and motivate employees on job related matters
Responsibilities in Loss Prevention and Control Factors:
1. Control of cash and inventory loss through effective management
2. Conduct inventory counts as scheduled and resolve variances immediately
(Weekly counts -beer, soft drink, sandwiches. Daily - cigarettes, others as needed)
3. Complete the Inventory Shortage Action Plan as directed
4. Maintain organized, clean, and secure storage areas
5. Maintain and evaluate store tracking charts each day
6. Maintain open communication with the District Leader
Responsibilities in Completion of Reports and Paperwork:
1. Complete all paperwork on time (daily and other)
2. Make all deposits on time and fax/email copies to the SupportCenter
3. Ensure accuracy in all paperwork
4. Maintain all paperwork in an organized and secure manner
5. Maintain a professional rapport with Support Center personnel
Responsibilities in General Store Operation:
1. Ensure store is open during designated hours
2. Maintain an adequate and appropriate staff
3. Adhere to contract agreements
4. Maintain the store and premises in a safe, secure manner
5. Maintain inventory levels to avoid out-of-stock and overstock situations
6. Comply with all laws, rules, regulations, and policies
7. Complete assignments as directed
Responsibilities to Image:
1. Maintain store image standards each day
2. Ensure compliance of all employees to the company uniform policy
3. Present self in a neat, clean, professional manner
4. See that employees present themselves in a neat, clean, professional manner
Responsibilities to Sales:
1. Promote suggestive sales through training, example, and reinforcement
2. Adhere to pricing policies and maintain an accurate, current pricebook
3. Achieve sales goals
Responsibilities to Service:
1. Promote the practice of "Greet-Smile-Thank" through training and example
2. Promote proper use of Empowerment Vouchers by employees
3. Resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner
Responsibilities to Profitability:
1. Operate the store in as profitable a manner as possible
2. Attain margin goals
3. Control expenses
4. Operate within all budget limits
5. Work diligently to maintain low levels of employee turnover
