What does a store development project manager do?

A Store Development Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of new store openings, remodels, or relocations. They coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to brand standards. Their responsibilities often include site selection, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. They play a critical role in ensuring that each store meets operational needs and provides a positive customer experience.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills help you coordinate teams, vendors, and stakeholders effectively. These skills ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality, which is critical for retail expansion and operational success.

What are some common challenges faced by store development project managers during new store openings or remodels?

Store Development Project Managers often encounter challenges such as coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing tight construction timelines, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
