Job description

Agency Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our office team. We are a well-established general contracting and construction management firm specializing in government, commercial, and public-sector construction projects.

The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of similar construction project management experience and be capable of managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to communicate professionally with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and government representatives, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction office environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through completion and closeout
  • Review drawings, plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, schedules, and project correspondence
  • Coordinate with project superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, owners, and government representatives to develop and maintain project schedules
  • Gather and review proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related project documents
  • Create scopes of work, solicit bids, evaluate proposals, and assist in executing subcontract agreements
  • Create project schedules in MS Project, including predecessors and successors
  • Review and process subcontractor submittals for compliance with project specifications and contract requirements
  • Maintain and manage project document logs, including RFIs, transmittals, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation
  • Prepare and review project correspondence, meeting minutes, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs, and closeout documents
  • Manage project closeout activities, including punch list completion, O&M manuals, warranties, key control, and final documentation
  • Maintain organized project files and ensure timely follow-up on open items
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of construction project management experience with a general contractor required
  • Experience managing institutional, public-sector, federal, municipal, or government construction projects required
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently from preconstruction through completion and closeout
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, project schedules, and project documentation requirements
  • Ability to create, update, and maintain construction schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Experience with construction management software, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with owners, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, government representatives, and internal team members
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and time-sensitive information in a fast-paced construction office environment
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field preferred, but not required with strong relevant experience
  • Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Mamaroneck, NY
