JOB SUMMARY:

The GATE Store Manager ensures customer service is the first priority for GATE operations by providing a friendly and efficient experience for our guests.ย  Provides leadership and direction to employees to maximize customer service, profits, and sales.ย  Addresses employee-relation issues and enforce compliance with company.ย  Resolves adverse situations including disgruntled customers or employees, drive-offs, no-fault product policies, invalid credit cards, and broken or malfunctioning equipment.ย  Collaborates with the Store Assistant Manager and Team Leader to control store operations and inventory.ย  Monitors inventory and ensure all shelves and coolers are stocked.ย  Places all grocery and merchandise orders.ย  Makes all bank deposits for the store.ย  Completes all required reviews and reports, and communicate this information to the Corporate Office.ย  Ensures a high level of cleanliness and organization at the store.ย  Performs minor maintenance and repairs on store equipment.ย

REQUIREMENTS

ย 

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old (to support the sales of alcohol and tobacco products)
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staff and customers
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skillsย 
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead)
JOB KNOWLEDGE:ย 

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.ย  Candidate must be mathematically proficient.ย  Candidate must have strong customer service and problem-solving skills.ย  Candidate must be able to operate a computer.


ย DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

ย 

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Arrive to work on time, consistently
  • Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean, and in good repair.ย  Ensure team is in proper uniform as well
  • Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style
  • Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings
  • Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment
  • Ensure completion of interior and exterior housekeeping during the assigned shift
  • Perform minor repair and maintenance on store and pump equipment
  • Place grocery and merchandise orders and promote effective vendor relationships.ย  Check in vendors, deliveries, and grocery orders
  • Implement all division merchandise programs by maintaining proper stock levels, layouts, and displays in accordance with company policy, proper pricing, coding, and rotating
  • Communicate details of all merchandise programs to store employees and provide effective training to promote these programs
  • Work with the Store Assistant Manager and Team Leader to control store operations and inventory
  • Ensure a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers
  • Schedule team and fill any work shift voids resulting from the absence of scheduled employees
  • Address employee-relation issues and enforce compliance with company policies among team
  • Conduct employee disciplinary action through documentation in the employeeโ€™s performance evaluation and terminations in accordance with company policy and with the guidance of the territory supervisor and/or Human Resources.ย  Promote company-wide open door policy with a positive attitude towards the company policies
  • Address issues at the store, including but not limited to disgruntled customers or employees, drive-offs, no-fault product policy, invalid credit cards, and broken or malfunctioning equipment
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environmentย
