Job description

Capitol City Produce is seeking a driven, high-impact leader to join our operations team as a Night Operations Manager. This role is responsible for leading all night warehouse operations, driving productivity, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and building a strong, accountable team culture in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

What You’ll Do

As the Night Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the night warehouse operation including:

  • Order selection operations
  • Shipping and dock flow
  • Forklift replenishment
  • Quality inspections
  • Sanitation and safety
  • Office and administrative coordination
  • Shift productivity and labor management

You’ll work closely with supervisors and leads to ensure operational excellence while creating a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and retention.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in distribution or warehouse operations
  • Food distribution or cold-storage experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and accountability skills
  • Ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience analyzing operational metrics and performance data
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with warehouse management systems or routing systems preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical & Work Environment

This position works primarily in a refrigerated warehouse environment and requires:

  • Ability to work in 34-degree coolers and below-zero freezer conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to push objects up to 500 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and stooping
