Storage Solutions Consultant

JOB SUMMARY:
Solutions Consultant is responsible for targeting and soliciting local businesses to sell Allied products and solutions to current and prospective customers. Work with customers to provide products and solutions to space restraints or growth opportunities establishing and maintaining business relationship designing, configuring and execution of various Allied projects - racking, shelfing and basic system projects. This position will be responsible for reviewing all Allied Order Packages for completeness and correct item number/type/quantity/price as well as direct sales to Shoppa's existing and new customers. This is a customer facing position. This opportunity represents Shoppa's Material Handling and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, great attitude, and outstanding customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Creating and verifying layout, detail, air, load, structural drawings, schematics and equipment orders as applicable to the project.
  • Planning equipment layout, material flow, and measuring to maintain efficient and safe utilization of resources and equipment on projects as assigned.
  • Working with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of material handling equipment and solutions as required in support of project needs. Integrates findings and concepts into design recommendations on projects assigned.
  • May potentially direct and coordinate building of prototypes. Confers with research and other engineers to clarify and resolve problems found during execution; prepares design modifications, as appropriate.
  • Performing a variety of calculations (e.g to compute angles, weights, dimensions, etc) and prepares detailed multi-view drawings based on engineering data and standard references. Review each new Allied Order Package for completeness (Signed order by customer and/or Purchase Order from customer, vendor quotes, and other items associated with the order)
  • Assist TM's/CSS'/BDR's and WD&F department with quotes, proposals, specifications, etc.
  • Assist walk in customers with sales and inquiries.
  • Receive all inbound sales related phone calls, emails, etc. from customers and Shoppa's Sales Team.
  • Review and Assist Allied Operations Manager on all used material purchases.
  • Assist Allied Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Manager with freight quotes, Inventory Planning, levels and replenishment.
  • Assist Allied Operations Manager on review and approval of all discounting below current listed ELC sale prices.

  • High School diploma; college degree preferred
  • Operations and sales experience in the material handling, industrial equipment or automotive industry preferred
  • Experience in MS Navision, MS Office Suite (Intermediate- Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Great customer service and attention to detail; Excellent organizational and time-management skills
