We offer luxurious independent living, combined with a seamless continuum of care including assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation all on a single campus.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as an RN. This person will have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be able to engage, motivate, and support both residents and fellow team members. Essential Functions:
1. Provide daily supervision to assigned staff and directly provide nursing care to residents in healthcare.
2. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent life-style of residents.
3. Assesses the resident upon admission, discharge, transfer, change of condition, and on an ongoing basis for nursing needs and completes required record keeping forms/charts within the RN licensure standards. Initiates the individual plan of care based on established health care goals, physicians orders and nursing assessments with input from residents, guardians, family members or other responsible parties to establish goals to achieve the residents optimal level of functioning. Orients new residents/family members as necessary.
4. Respond to residents call system promptly and courteously.
5. Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and assisting with the development and monitoring of care plans and re-assessment of each resident.
6. Provide daily report to the Director of Nurses concerning facility conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and need for nursing supplies.
7. Consistently demonstrate hospitable behavior and the core values of quality, respect, service and integrity.
8. Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
9. Receives verbal orders from attending/alternate physicians, charts on physicians order sheet and follows established procedures to facilitate timely implementation of physician orders, notifying physician of auto stop orders on any medications and lab results.
10. Notifies the attending physician and supervisor/administrator when a resident is discharged without approval. Assures that appropriate documentation is made in accordance with established policies and procedures.
11. Reports all discrepancies of physicians' orders, diet and charting to director of Nursing.
12. Notifies physician, family/responsible party, and DON/Executive Director of resident, family, or staff incidents. Completes appropriate resident assessments, resident, visitor/family, or employee incident report forms, and charts in the resident medical record on all such occurrences in accordance with facility policy and procedure.
13. Provides nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
14. Ensure preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to residents and assists in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.
15. Makes rounds with physicians, assists in examinations and/or treatment of residents and carries out orders.
16. Assures residents rights to fair and equitable treatment, determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are followed by all department personnel.
17. Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of nursing care, respond to changes in medical condition, medications or other circumstances requiring special care needs and performs first aid as required.
18. Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and other designated personnel in meeting the resident's needs. Demonstrate good decision-making skills. Provide written evaluation and oral counseling of assigned staff.
19. Assess and monitor complex resident health status and determine the appropriate nursing intervention. Develop and monitor the ongoing plan of care with resident and initiate corrective action as necessary.
20. Orient residents and staff to emergency procedures and respond to all emergency situations.
21. Completes and sign incident reports and provide follow-up as required.
22. Assure that all resident records are accurate, complete and all mandatory forms are on file. Through familiarity and application of facility policies and procedures, assure that nursing care is practiced in full accordance with regulatory requirements, facility quality standards, and resident rights.
23. Monitor resident environment to ensure all safety and sanitary regulations and quality standards are met or exceeded. May assist with development and presentation of in-service programs.
24. Assigns and directs specific tasks to other care providers to insure effective implementation of plan of care.
25. Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit.
26. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the community to assure that he department services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents. 27. Assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the unit/shift assigned.
28. Assures that all personnel follow established infection control, and lifting techniques.
29. Assures that the unit and resident room areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience. Assures that necessary equipment and supplies are properly maintained to perform such duties/services.
30. Attends and participates in continuing education courses and facility in-service training programs to assure that you keep abreast of current regulations, guidelines, professional standards, as well as facility policies.
31. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information and employee information.
32. Follows instructions given and completes assignments according to directions and within the limits established. Knows when to ask for advice and accepts and follows suggestions from supervisor on how to improve work performance.
33. Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
34. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
35. Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
