Ready to elevate your real estate practice? A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Senior Real Estate Associate to join its growing New Jersey office. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, significant client interaction, and a clear path for long-term professional growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.


Location: Newark, New Jersey (Hybrid)


Compensation: $185,000 – $215,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunities


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent borrowers, lenders, developers, investors, and commercial property owners in complex real estate transactions
  • Negotiate and draft commercial loan agreements, guarantees, and related financing documents
  • Handle sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions from inception through closing
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for acquisitions and dispositions
  • Conduct due diligence and coordinate transaction closings
  • Advise clients on real estate development, financing, and investment matters
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to support complex transactions and client objectives


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of commercial real estate experience
  • Significant experience handling commercial real estate financing transactions, preferably representing borrowers
  • Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate substantive provisions of loan agreements, guarantees, and related financing documents
  • Strong experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements for commercial acquisitions and dispositions
  • Experience with redevelopment projects in New Jersey is a plus
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client relationship skills
  • Admission to the New Jersey or New York Bar required
