Job description

About Us

American Tile and Stonework has been the premier stone fabrication and installation company for luxury yachts and sport fishing vessels since 1985. Based in Fort Lauderdale — the yachting capital of the world — we work with yacht builders, designers, captains, and crew to deliver precision stone craftsmanship on new builds, refits, and ongoing maintenance. Our reputation is built on nearly 40 years of quality, discretion, and deep expertise in the unique demands of the marine environment.

The Role

We are looking for a Master Stone Fabricator with hands-on experience in the marine industry. This is a senior-level, highly skilled trade position for someone who takes pride in their craft, works with precision, and understands that on a luxury yacht, there is no margin for error. No prior experience on a yacht needed. You'll receive world class training, this is a full-time role.

You will lead fabrication and installation of marble, granite, quartzite, and quartz surfaces across countertops, showers, flooring, and custom decorative elements — all aboard vessels where space constraints, weight considerations, and exacting standards define every job.

What You'll Do

Fabricate and install natural stone surfaces including marble, granite, quartzite, and quartz for yacht interiors and exteriors. Execute precision cuts, edge profiles, and seamless joins that meet the standards expected on high-end vessels. Work with lightweight stone veneer panels backed with aluminum honeycomb technology for weight-sensitive applications. Collaborate directly with yacht designers, captains, shipyard project managers, and crew to ensure installations align with vessel specs and client expectations. Perform stone repairs including crack filling, chip restoration, and color matching on existing surfaces. Maintain strict site cleanliness and professionalism aboard client vessels at all times.

What You Bring

A minimum of 5 years of stone fabrication experience. Expert-level proficiency with stone fabrication tools and CNC machinery. Deep knowledge of natural stone materials — their properties, limitations, and behavior in marine environments. The ability to read and work from technical drawings and vessel schematics. A meticulous eye for detail and a standard of finish that matches the luxury environment you're working in. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when working aboard client vessels. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to vessels across Fort Lauderdale, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.

Why Join ATS

You'll work on some of the most prestigious vessels in South Florida alongside a team that has spent nearly four decades earning its reputation in the yachting industry. No two jobs are the same. The work is technically demanding, visually stunning, and built to last. We are fully licensed and insured, and we work exclusively with premium materials and clients who value craftsmanship above all else.
