Position Overview 
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. 
In this role, you'll analyze civil, architectural, landscape, and structural drawings to prepare competitive, accurate estimates for specialty outdoor construction projects. You'll work closely  with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and company leadership to ensure every proposal is thorough, competitive, and profitable.

Primary Responsibilities 
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs using digital estimating software. 
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents. 
  • Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and scope gaps. 
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. 
  • Develop complete project estimates and bid proposals. 
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and the Preconstruction Team throughout the bidding process. 
  • Maintain organized bid files, estimating databases, and historical cost information. 
  • Continuously improve estimating processes and pricing accuracy. 
 
Qualifications 
Preferred Experience 
  • 2-5 years of estimating, project engineering, project coordination, or construction management experience. 
  • OR field leadership experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, Crew Leader, or skilled trades professional looking to transition into an office role. 
Construction Background 
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: 
  • Site Construction 
  • Hardscape 
  • Concrete 
  • Masonry 
  • Carpentry 
  • Fencing 
  • Playgrounds 
  • Structural Landscaping 
  • Site Furnishings 
  • Specialty Construction 
Software 
  • Experience with Bluebeam or similar digital takeoff software is preferred. 
  • Experience with estimating or project management software is a plus. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
