Job description

The Opportunity: Why This Role is Different

If you are an experienced HVAC/R technician, you already know the worst part of the job: spending your July roasting on a 130°F rubber roof and your January freezing in a snowdrift trying to get a rooftop unit running.

If you are a top-tier Residential Appliance Technician, you know the ceiling you hit: crushing 8-10 residential calls a day, dealing with retail homeowner drama, and driving endless miles for low-ticket repairs.

There is a better way. We are looking for a sharp, diagnostically minded technician to join our commercial service division. We service high-end commercial kitchens, refrigeration systems, and light commercial facilities.

The Pitch: We keep you indoors, we pay for your technical growth, and we treat you like a professional, not a tracking dot on a GPS screen.

What You Will Do (The Day-to-Day)

You won’t be running a brainless, high-volume route. You will be the technical lead solving complex diagnostic problems on commercial food service and refrigeration equipment.

Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines) and commercial cooking equipment (gas/electric ovens, fryers, steam tables, control boards).

System Diagnostics: Read complex wiring diagrams, trace three-phase electrical faults, and diagnose refrigeration loop issues (restricted cap tubes, inefficient compressors, TXV failures).

Heavy-Duty Sealed System Work: Perform clean recovery, brazing, evacuation, and precise charging on commercial systems.

Client Collaboration: Communicate clearly with restaurant managers, facility directors, and business owners to explain the breakdown and the solution.

What We Are Looking For

We value foundational diagnostic logic over a specific laundry list of brands. If you understand the refrigeration cycle and electrical schematics, we can teach you the specific equipment.

The Experience: 6+ years in either Commercial HVAC/R or advanced, high-end residential appliance repair (with a strong desire to cross over to commercial).

Technical Chops: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills. You must be comfortable with multi-meters, schematic reading, and low-voltage controls.

Certifications: EPA Universal Certification is required. An active driver's license with a clean record is a must.

The Right Toolset: You own your basic hand tools and diagnostic meters (specialty recovery/brazing gear provided by the company).

The Mindset: You look at a complex, modified control circuit and get excited to solve the puzzle rather than walking away.

What We Offer (And Why You'll Stay)

Premium Compensation: Top-of-market hourly pay based on your actual diagnostic speed and skill, not just years on a clock.

Work-Life Balance: No ridiculous 80-hour weeks that burn you out. Predictable scheduling with a rotating, compensated on-call schedule.

Paid Up-Training: We invest heavily in your skills. We pay for factory training, specialized commercial refrigeration courses, and advanced certifications.

Professional Equipment: A fully stocked, clean, modern service vehicle, professional-grade recovery equipment, and a company smart devices.

Culture of Respect: You report directly to leadership that understands the trade, respects your field expertise, and has your back when a client gets difficult.
