JOB OVERVIEW:

Greyling Insurance Brokerage & Risk Consulting, a division of EPIC, is a specialty insurance brokerage and risk consulting firm focused on construction and design professionals. What differentiates us is our construction industry expertise. Our leaders have prior experience as practicing construction lawyers (in-house and outside), engineers, consultants, and underwriters giving us a unique and unmatched insight into how A/E firms operate, deliver projects, and manage risks. With respect to insurance, we place many of our largest clients who qualify in highly profitable group captive programs that have saved millions, and we do so for more A/E firms than all other insurance brokers combined.

The Associate Broker will be responsible for providing high-quality, white-glove service to our clients, and partnering with the lead broker and client executive to ensure the book of business is properly and promptly serviced.

LOCATION: Hybrid - 3 days a week in Alpharetta, GA

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Candidates with strong, professional communication skills both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation with clients or internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
  • Experience working for an insurance agency, broker or carrier is required, including marketing/placement experience (preferably at least 5+ years of insurance industry experience).
  • Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and who love problem solving and coming up with solutions and answers to client questions.
  • Excellent team players looking for the next step in their career, eager for a new challenge with room to grow, and to be recognized and compensated accordingly.
  • Candidates able to work a hybrid schedule out of our Alpharetta, GA office location (3 days a week in-office).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Support Broker and Client Executive with providing day-to-day client service
  • Support Broker with negotiation and placement of policies
  • Review quotes and negotiate with underwriters over coverage enhancements
  • Produce/assist with client submissions, proposals, presentations, insurance summaries and loss summary reports
  • Assist with Insurance M&A Due Diligence
  • Assist with program analysis for potential clients
  • Assist with contract review of insurance requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters and key client contacts
  • Update Agency system (Sagitta) with policy information
  • Coordinate and review billing, invoice materials, and premium finance agreements
  • Assist with policy workflow process to make sure policies are sent out to clients according to agency standards
  • Serve as primary backup when Broker is out of the office

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in an insurance-related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of agency management system is a plus
  • Commercial property and casualty experience; 5+ years required
  • Licensed property/casualty insurance agent/broker license

COMPENSATION:

Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
