Job description

Hours: Part Time
Basic Function: Assist in the preparation, production, clean-up and packaging of bakery products. Takes direction from bakery manager and baker.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation, production, and packaging of baked goods according to company specifications and instructions.
  2. Clean up bakery utensils and equipment following health standards.
  3. Assist in packaging of baked goods for shipping to customers.
  4. Assist in filling and maintaining stock.
  5. Assist with inventory tracking.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Organization of baked goods for baking and packaging.
  2. Cleans equipment according to cleaning schedules.
  3. Cleans work area before ending shift.
  4. Empties trash and disposes of it properly.
  5. Attends staff meetings as necessary.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort required involving long periods of standing, walking on rough surfaces, bending and/or stooping; periodic lifting of moderately heavy items (over 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds).
Knowledge Requirements: Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Job may require limited training or knowledge in the operation and use of Industrial Equipment, Thermometers, and Sanitation Chemicals.
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED and over six month’s comparable experience.
