Stock Lister
Summary
The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor of Pipe, Valve, and Fittings (PVF), is looking for a full-time Stock Lister to support our fire protection and mechanical piping operations. This role combines stocklisting responsibilities with customer engagement, focusing on generating accurate material lists for fire protection projects and supporting warehouse operations.
We specialize in commercial and industrial PVF solutions, including valves, boilers, pipe fittings, grooved fittings, PVC, plumbing, and heating and cooling systems. As an authorized distributor of industry-leading brands including Victaulic and Spirax Sarco, we provide mechanical contractors with the products and expertise they need.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed material lists for fire protection and mechanical piping projects
  • Use HydraTech software to generate accurate quotes (training provided)
  • Collaborate with sales and fabrication teams to ensure quotes align with capabilities
  • Notify purchasing of material needs based on project quotes
  • Support warehouse operations including stocking, organizing, and inventory management
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels for pipe fittings, valves, and grooved fittings
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to product availability
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in stocklisting, warehouse operations, or inventory management preferred
  • Familiarity with fire protection systems, grooved fittings, or mechanical piping is a plus
  • Experience with HydraTech software preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of pipe fittings, valves, PVC, or commercial/industrial PVF applications helpful
  • Background in trades, plumbing, heating and cooling, or toolmaking is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience is a plus
  • Motivated team player who takes initiative
