What is a Stingray in the context of law enforcement and surveillance?

A Stingray is a device used by law enforcement agencies to mimic a cell phone tower and intercept mobile phone signals. Officially known as an IMSI-catcher, it can capture identifying information from nearby mobile devices, track their location, and sometimes even intercept calls and texts. Stingrays are controversial due to privacy concerns, as they collect data from all phones in the area, not just those of suspects. Their use often requires a warrant, but regulations vary by jurisdiction.

What are some common challenges faced by Marine Biologists studying stingrays in the field?

Marine Biologists working with stingrays often encounter challenging field conditions, such as remote locations, unpredictable weather, and the need to handle stingrays safely while minimizing stress to the animals. They must also carefully coordinate with research teams, local authorities, and conservation groups to ensure responsible data collection and habitat preservation. Additionally, balancing fieldwork with data analysis and publishing findings can require strong organizational and time-management skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Marine Biologist, and why are they important?

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are soft skills that help in research and collaboration. These skills are crucial for conducting accurate scientific studies, contributing to conservation efforts, and sharing findings with the scientific community and the public.

Job description

At Stingray, creativity, collaboration, and innovative technology are at the core of our DNA. Are you ready to rock your career by joining a fast-growing company and a team of music enthusiasts in a stimulating and fun work environment? Are you a detail-oriented, tech-savvy problem solver looking to launch your career in supply chain and operations? We are seeking a Supply Chain & Systems Coordinator to support the end-to-end lifecycle of our products-from initial item setup in our ERP to final order fulfillment. In this critical role, you will help maintain the integrity of our automated systems and ensure seamless communication between our international manufacturing partners and domestic retailers.

Working directly under the Head of Systems and Automation, you will gain hands-on experience with modern, tech-driven supply chains at scale. Your day-to-day * Order & EDI Management: Monitor and process daily customer orders via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and manual entry, ensuring flawless transaction flow between retail partners and internal systems. * Item & Data Governance: Execute new item setups across our ERP and e-commerce platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Shopify, Amazon Vendor and Seller Central, Walmart Retail Link, and others). Maintain pristine master data, including SKU details, dimensions, and pricing. * Production & Procurement: Assist in placing Purchase Orders (POs) with international factories (primarily in China). Coordinate production timelines and track shipments to guarantee on-time delivery. * Relationship Management: Serve as a primary liaison for retail buyers and factory production managers, proactively resolving any discrepancies in shipping, labeling, or invoicing. * Forecasting & Analytics: Analyze historical sales data and inventory levels to support the development of accurate demand forecasts and replenishment strategies. * Systems Optimization: Collaborate with our cross functional teams to test and implement new automations and workflows within the ERP, driving continuous operational efficiency. Your qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Information Systems, or a related field. * Technical Aptitude: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs).

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) or EDI platforms is a major plus. * Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred to facilitate communication across our diverse supply chain network. * Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with vendors and retailers effectively. * Mindset: A "systems-first" thinker who is passionate about finding ways to streamline and automate manual processes. Why Join Us? This isn't your typical entry-level job where you'll just be "moving boxes." This is a unique opportunity to learn how global logistics operate at scale. You will gain invaluable exposure to ERP migrations, API integrations, and advanced supply chain automations, all while receiving direct mentorship from leadership. If you are eager to build a career at the intersection of supply chain and technology, we want to hear from you! We leverage AIโ€‘supported tools to assist with the initial review of applications.
